NSRitney Spears is back in the press this week, but now for the best of reasons. The singer’s father, Jamie Spears, finally agreed to stop being her guardian.
Britney’s mother, Jamie Spears, broke the silence and responded to the outcome of the operation.
Gladstone Jones III, the singer’s mother’s attorney, said: “Lynn Spears is pleased that Jamie has agreed to step down. Lynn entered this guardianship to protect her daughter nearly three years ago. She did what she set out to do.” In a statement to the New York Times.
The actress also clarifies that Lynn will not comment further on the case, despite the harassment of her ex-husband – Jamie.
Jamie’s defense criticized Britney’s mother, stating that her involvement in her daughter’s life had virtually non-existent for the past 13 years.
The singer’s father remains convinced that he was the one who saved Britney when she went through “crises and desperately needed help”.
