Bruno Fernandes has renewed his contract with Manchester United until 2027, on Wednesday. This means he can stay at the English club for seven years, having arrived in January 2020 from Sporting.

Speaking to ESPN, the Portugal international midfielder acknowledged the (widely reported) interest in him and spoke of “concrete proposals.” There has long been talk of Bruno potentially playing in Saudi Arabia.

But the club showed that they needed me, that they were going through a period of change and that they wanted to do things differently. I think there is a dream future for this club with the changes that are happening. My choice to stay comes from there. “But I feel good here, I feel wanted and I feel that the club has respected me very much. It was a very family choice, because my family feels very good here, we feel at home. I think I have been able to achieve it so far and I think I still have a lot to give to this club. “Despite everything the club has done for me and made me become, I think I can still give more,” the Portugal international added.

Bruno Fernandes cost the club €65 million in January 2020. Since then, he has played 234 games for Manchester United, scoring 79 goals and providing 67 more for his teammates.
