Buttock lift: – an operation on the buttocks – she died

Argentine actress Silvina Luna, 43, died Thursday this week from long-term complications after a buttock lift in 2011.

Luna had a so-called “Brazilian butt lift” in 2011, but afterward faced major health challenges.

And on Thursday this week, her brother Ezequiel Luna chose to take her off a ventilator, according to local media.

Luna has been in hospital in Buenos Aires for the past four months, where she received treatment for, among other things, a kidney disease.

Spokesperson Fernando Borlando described the death as a tragic loss and said the 43-year-old fought for his life.

– This is an end like pain and wounds. “I hope her fight serves as a wake-up call for the authorities, so that society can open its eyes and we can avoid more deaths,” he added in a statement.

The surgeon who performed the operation was convicted of illegally treating another woman who underwent a similar operation and later died, according to the Buenos Aires Herald.

He is no longer allowed to practice surgery, but he has not yet been imprisoned.

Silvina Luna became a familiar face when she participated in the Argentine version of the scandalous reality show “Big Brother” in 2001.

She later trained as an actress and was seen in a number of film and theatrical productions. She has also worked as a TV presenter.
