CAMPOS – The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Frederico Rangel, on Thursday (9), in the plenary session of the Campos dos Goytacazes city council, participated in the public hearing on inclusive education. The Undersecretary provided an overview of inclusive education in the municipality’s network. According to Frederico, out of about 54,000 students in the municipal network, about 860 students have some kind of disability. He also reported that the municipal education network has 32 resource rooms that provide educational support during working hours for the comprehensive education of these students.

The Undersecretary also reported that the Interdisciplinary Learning Support Space (EMAA), established by Mayor Rosina Garotinho and currently operating at Seduct’s headquarters, will relocate to an area of ​​the Municipal Education Center of the Sugar Industry Workers’ Federation (Cemstiac). EMMA is formed by a team of speech therapists, psychologists, and psychologists, who help students with learning disabilities.
