Ceará records 256 new cases and no deaths due to Covid-19 in 24 hours

Ceará has exceeded 917,000 cumulative Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic. They are, in everything, 917,645 cases of the disease was officially registered in the state on Thursday, July 29. Ciara still adds, 23,488 deaths by Covid-19. Also, 651 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded since the last count, on Wednesday, 28, when the number of cases increased from 916,994 to 917,645. Two deaths from the disease were recorded in the past 24 hours, according to the state government’s transparency platform IntegraSUS.

The information was updated by the Ceará State Department of Health (SESA) at 1:30 p.m. Due to the delay in getting more recent deaths into the system, Covid-19 victims who died in the same period can be registered later.

There are currently 641,918 people who have recovered from the disease and 51,280 with suspected infection awaiting results from tests already performed. The mortality rate – the proportion of deaths among confirmed cases – is 2.6%. 2501,294 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the state so far.

In the state’s Covid-19 vaccination campaign, all Ceará municipalities have already started vaccinating the general population. The new phase of the campaign takes place in descending order of age, starting at 59 years old. To receive the vaccine, people must be properly registered on the platform digital health, Da Sesa.

In addition to the general public, people included in priority groups for stages 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the PNI receive vaccinations against coronavirus in parallel.
