Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, 18, said on Friday that the Glasgow climate summit, COP26, had failed.

Along with several thousand other young climate protesters, she scrambled into Glasgow on Friday to protest what they believe is a lack of climate efforts from world leaders.

The comments came as I later took to the stage in Glasgow in front of thousands of young protesters on Friday night.

Thunberg spared the powder in his mention of the summit, where world leaders gathered to agree on common goals to combat global warming.

Thunberg is highly critical of the climate summit and the leaders in attendance.

According to the BBC, the climate summit has been described as a “global greenwash”, a “failure” and a “public relations exercise”.

She also said she was tired of empty promises.

Also earlier in Glasgow, the Swedish teenager took a hard line against world leaders.

Before concluding Friday’s speech, Thunberg thanked everyone for their participation in the rally.

A demonstration is also scheduled in Glasgow on Saturday. Then the organizers hope to have 50,000 participants.

Thunberg encouraged spectators to show up for tomorrow’s rally as well.

COP26 runs until November 12, but the summit itself, which brought together world leaders, is over.
