Cristiano Ronaldo presents to the victory fans after a “warm welcome”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s official presentation was marked by certainty and ambition, lashing out at those who “don’t understand anything about football” and “hungry for records”, which he admits he still has. Already on the field in front of Al Nasr’s supporters, the Portuguese star promised to “do his best”. And to close out the long-awaited show, another highlight: His partner, Georgina, and their four children took to the field.

Before stepping onto the field at his new club, CR7 spoke to the press, in his first press conference as a player from Al-Nassr team.

Ronaldo began to stress that he felt proud of Saudi Arabia and that this was one of the reasons for his transfer, and stressed that the challenge now is to transfer Saudi football, which is growing, to other levels.

He said the business in Europe was “done”, and it was now time to take on a “new challenge”. More than that, he emphasized: He is confident of breaking records in this new league.

Ronaldo said: “I am a special player (…) I came to play, to have fun and to win.”

He confirmed that the family supported his decision to move to an “incredible country”. He revealed that he had received invitations from Brazil, Australia, the United States and Portugal but gave his “word” to the victory as he would win.

And he is already ready to take to the field in the next game on Thursday, if the coach so desires.

“Coming to Saudi Arabia is not the end of my career. I wanted a change and, frankly, I don’t care what people say.”

And what does the coach say?

Al Nasr coach Rudi Garcia also spoke to the media, after he began calling the CR7 a “legend”. He added that the Portuguese player is “an example” for everyone.

And what’s the point? Make the Portuguese athlete feel happy in the new colours. “My goal is to make him happy and satisfied by playing for victoryrevealed the French coach.

He noted that it was an “honor” to train an athlete like Ronaldo and that the path he intends to follow with the number seven jersey is one of victories.

After the press conference, the new star of the company put on the club’s training equipment and headed to the stadium’s locker room, where his new teammates were waiting for him.

Entering the field

Already on the grass at Marsool Park wearing his new kit, Cristiano Ronaldo spoke his first words to the Saudi fans.

“For me, it’s a pleasure to be here (…) I’ll do everything I can for victory,” CR7 began as thousands of fans present in the stadium chanted his name in unison.

He again declared his intention to “make people happy”, “help the country improve”, and “help women’s football” develop.
