Indeed, the 37-year-old ended up masking his intentions and staying with the rest of the squad, even watching the match against the Swiss side from outside, and was released just 73 minutes later, substitute João Felix.
As for the rest of the Portuguese team, the post adds, he does his best to put himself on the sidelines, trying to make sure he doesn’t undermine the positive atmosphere we’re seeing at the resort, where he has faith in winning the World Cup.
