Dani Alves finally broke his silence after being accused in January of raping a woman at a Barcelona club at the end of last year. In an interview with journalist Maika Navarro, the Brazilian confirmed that “everything that happened” that night only he and the victim knew.

“I don’t know if she has a clear conscience and if she sleeps well at night, but I forgive her. I decided to do this interview, and it’s the first interview I’ve done since I’ve been here. [na prisão]So people know what I think. So they know the story from what I experienced that morning and in that bathroom,” he began by referring to Danny Alves.

He continued, “So far, a scary story has been told involving fear and horror, which has nothing to do with what really happened or what I did. Whatever happened and didn’t happen there, only I and she know. That morning, when the woman in question came out of the shower behind me, I stayed In my office for a while. I didn’t stay long because it was already late. I left the disco… I found out from pictures I saw where the woman was crying. I didn’t see her. If I had seen her crying, I would have stopped asking what was going on. At that moment, if someone in charge had asked me About the disco waiting because a young woman assured me that I had sexually attacked her, I did not come home. That same night, I had gone to a police station to explain what had happened.”

Dani Alves also confirmed that he was not informed of the complaint until the next day, when he ended up leaving the venue “quietly” and without saying anything about it. “I left, I went home. I took a shower, because my wife was already asleep and I was ashamed that I had been unfaithful. I overwhelmed myself with anger and went to sleep in another bed. I went back to Mexico two days later to play. A media outlet reported that a young woman had accused me of sexual assault. I called I consulted my lawyer and consulted the police and they assured me that there was no complaint and that I could travel and leave Spain with complete peace of mind.”

Brazilian located Pretrial detention since JanuaryHe stressed that he was going through a difficult time: “I appeal to your conscience [da vítima]. There wasn’t a single night I slept so well. Not one. But I have a clear conscience. I have never intentionally hurt anyone. And she, that night, was not.”
