Tonight, it's David Mauricio's turn to share life's curveballs with the Portuguese. The competitor recalled some of the difficult moments he experienced in his life.

“My childhood was perfect. My parents were always with me, my brothers, sister and brother were always with me. (…) My childhood grew up with my mother and sister. “These two women have taken such good care of me that I am so grateful for everything I am as a man today.”

“I was so afraid of losing my mother”

David Mauricio revealed that his mother had two cancers and that they were some of the most difficult times: “When I was 7/8 years old, I felt for the first time that I had to be a man in my life». “I had cancer for the first time, and it cost me a lot… My condition improved, but when I was 13 years old, I had my second cancer, which was breast cancer.”

“There was a colleague of mine who knew this, and sometimes he would joke about it and leave me feeling very hurt. I was very afraid of losing my mother. “She is a warrior and she managed to overcome it.”

“I experienced violence for the first time”

The competitor also said: “At the age of eighteen, I met a girl. I really liked it. “There is a major industrial fire where my company was exposed. One of the most disturbing episodes ever. I've never felt so bad before, I've lost 10/12kg, and I haven't slept. I was so affected psychologically that everything around me began to disappear. “That's why my relationship ended,” he said.

David Mauricio is a father and spoke about his relationship with his daughter’s mother: «I met someone at that time, who is my daughter's mother.. We started to care a lot about each other, we have an age difference of about 13 years, but it never mattered. “We were at different levels in our lives, but we did not see it because we were completely blind.”

“In January/February, we started discussing. I have never experienced toxic love like this.. It was terrible and I could never get the brakes on. In February, she discovered that she was pregnant. I couldn't believe it and couldn't tell anyone. When she was 4 months old, she told my father.

The Big Brother contestant also recalled his first episode of domestic violence at the hands of his ex-girlfriend: “My daughter was born, and she moved to her mother’s house. I stayed in a place where I felt unwelcome. Always up for discussions. I found out she was cheating on me. Later, on one of my visits, she asked me to stay, so I put myself through it again. I was exposed to violence for the first time. She took a bottle and sent it to me with all her might. I went to the hospital and had a head injury. I left there and went to a station to file a complaint and they laughed at me. They told me to become a man, that I was weak and that what I was doing could not be done. “I felt humiliated, I felt vulnerable.”
