Denmark: Eriksen underwent surgery, was released from hospital and was with his colleagues

The Danish Football Association (DBU) reported on Friday that soccer player Christian Eriksen has already undergone surgery to put a pacemaker in place and has been discharged from hospital.

The 29-year-old Denmark international, from Inter Milan, visited his teammates during the selection phase taking part in Euro 2020.

Christian Eriksen successfully had surgery and was released today [sexta-feira]. Today he also visited the national team in Helsingor – and from there he went home and spent time with his family,” DBU said in a statement this afternoon.

On the same note, Eriksen left a message through the DBU.

“Thank you so much for so many compliments. It was amazing to see and feel. The process went well and I am fine under the circumstances. It was great to see the players again after the great match they had yesterday. [ndr: quinta-feira, na derrota por 2-1 com a Bélgica]. “I don’t need to say that I will cheer for them on Monday, against Russia,” the player said.

Eriksen collapsed on the field in the first round match of Euro 2020, last Saturday, against Finland, which is already close to the end of the first half, in a dramatic move, as a result of a heart attack.
