Dragon's Dogma 2 runs at 30 frames per second on PS5 and Xbox Series

Dragon's Dogma 2, the long-awaited sequel to Capcom's fantasy RPG series, will be released on March 22 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series Before its release, Game Informer had the opportunity to visit Capcom's office and spend three hours playing the title. During this visit, director Hideaki Itsuno shared some thoughts on the game's performance on consoles.

In mid-February, Itsuno took to social media to announce that Dragon's Dogma 2 would have an unlocked frame rate upon release. This feature, usually associated with PC games, has raised some doubts about the console versions.

However, during the interview with Itsuno, it became clear that although the game will offer an uncapped frame rate on all consoles, it will not include many of the visual modes typically found in other games.

According to Itsuno, Dragon's Dogma 2 will have one mode that prioritizes performance, with a frame rate of around 30 frames per second or higher. Unlike some recent titles that offer separate presets or visual modes for players to choose from, Dragon's Dogma 2 will simplify the experience by offering a fixed mode with unlimited frame rate across all consoles.
