Health workers in the Kwahu Afram Plains South district of the Eastern region have to go through a lot of frustration in providing health care to the people.

Reports from Tsutsukope islands indicate health workers walk for a long distance carrying health materials to provide community members with the needed health care.

A health worker at the Tsutsukope facility, Dzakpata Enoch, is seen carrying materials on the head with some in his palm to work on foot.

He is an enrolled nurse but can do all immunization and child welfare clinics due to lack of health personnel in the area to assist him.

Sources also say he has also been trained to do deliveries for pregnant women.

Ghana as a country is doing a lot to make quality healthcare accessible to all Ghanaians but it has been characterised with lots of challenges which needs to be addressed by all stakeholders.

Even though successive governments have done their bid in ensuring Ghana achieve its goal in the health sector, it seems much need to be done to ensure all persons have easy access to quality health care no matter the location.
