EA Original offers a different hunt with Wild Hearts

Electronic Arts recently revealed their next game, Wild Hearts, which is a slightly different hunting game than the one we are used to.

The game is in development by Omega Force Studios in partnership with the EA Originals Initiative.

Electronic Arts and KOEI TECMO recently revealed the development of Wild Hearts, a new type of hunting game with unique crafting mechanics. The game is scheduled to release on February 17, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Origin, Steam, and the Epic Game Store.

Published under the banner of EA Originals and developed by Omega Force, the team behind the popular Warriors series, Wild Hearts invites players to take part in an epic adventure across feudal Japan. Japan is full of fantasy and mysticism. And across Japanese territory, they will have to fight a horde of nature-packed monsters called Kemono.

But they will not be alone, because to fight the Kemono, they will get the help of Karakuri, which is characterized by advanced mechanisms created from ancient and long lost technology.

Wild Hearts takes place in Azuma, a fantasy landscape inspired by feudal Japan, which is now shocked by the once-quiet kimono - altering its environment at the expense of the citizens' lives. Kimonos range from leafy squirrels to the huge Kingtusk wild boar. After a terrible battle with the winter wolf hunter, players become carriers of life-sustaining technology and are forced to rebalance the entire region.

In Wild Hearts, players travel to Azuma as a solo wolf or hunt with the help of up to two friends, thanks to cross-game features and cross-platform collaboration. Players can expand their battle plans and participate in special missions as they hunt in a group, team up with other hunters in the world, or face Kemono alone. The game will display voices in English, Japanese, French, Italian, German and Spanish.

We've put a lot of thought into designing our Karakuri for combat, and we're excited for players to use these powerful mechanics to battle gigantic monsters and traverse the world."
