British drivers Abby Eaton and Adrian Formo have been invited by Electronic Arts to anticipate the launch of EA SPORTS WRC. Come and see what you think…
As we've been tracking (here or here), EA SPORTS WRC is about to see the light of day and EA SPORTS is investing heavily in an official WRC game.
Electronic Arts recently released a video featuring British driver Abe Eaton and 2023 British Rally Champion Adrien Fourmaux ahead of the November 3 launch of EA SPORTS WRC, the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship.
The game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series “Rally Versus Racing” content takes players beyond the virtual world, giving a unique look at the skills required to master a rally car and the pressures a driver and co-driver face while competing in some of the toughest terrain.
As a novice multi-surface off-road racer, Abby is testing her stride in both the virtual and real worlds, thanks to 2023 WRC driver Adrien Fourmaux. With information from EA SPORTS WRC, the current GT driver completes several tasks in preparation for her first rally stage. From understanding how to leave the start line to mastering feedback, Abby learns every aspect of the co-driver role before swapping seats with the British Rally Champion.
After her inauguration, Abby Eaton said:You have to work harder than a GT car. The game teaches a lot. Guidance notes definitely make a difference."
Regarding the validity of EA SPORTS WRC, Adrian Formo commented: “When I started gathering, I was 22 years old. Before, I played video games and learned a lot from them. It's really similar, and now with new technology they're even better. It's very impressive."
EA SPORTS WRC delivers unparalleled realism thanks to a new dynamic handling system, longer stages and 50 crews from WRC, WRC2 and FIA Junior WRC. Combining the Unreal Engine with the physics of the DiRT Rally franchise, players can compete in 13 official FIA Rally Championships and five real-world-inspired locations with over 600 kilometers of unforgiving asphalt, gravel and snow stages.
Players will also be able to create the vehicles of their dreams thanks to the new Builder feature and connect socially through a variety of options, including 32-player multiplayer and daily updated Moments, which allow players to relive 2023 Season scenarios along with historical challenges and events.
