Elon Musk is the richest man in the world. In the Forbes list there is also a Portuguese name – Economy

Musk ranked second on the list in 2021, but this year it tops the ranking, which was also occupied by American Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon with a fortune estimated at 171 billion dollars.

The Frenchman Bernard Arnault (Louis Vuitton, $151 billion), Americans Bill Gates (Microsoft founder, $129 billion) and Warren Buffett ($118 billion) appear in the following places.

Forbes presented Musk, the leader of electric car maker Tesla, as the man who “revolutionized transportation, on Earth, with Tesla, and in space, with rocket maker SpaceX.”

The South African-born, multinational (South African, Canadian and North American) businessman has been in the news in recent days for owning a 9.2% stake in Twitter.

As usual, Forbes 2022 List It is dominated by men and North Americans, with eight of the top ten occupying personalities that match this profile. The other two are France’s Bernard Arnault and India’s Mukesh Ambani, who ranked 10th.

Portuguese Maria Fernanda Amorim ranks 601 on this list, with an estimated fortune of $4,700 million (about €4,300 million).
