It looked especially bad for Barnabas Zulos (25 years old). The Hungarian, who competes for the Israeli national team, hit his head hard on the ice surface and lost his helmet before sliding to the safety net.

Szulos received long-term treatment before being transported by helicopter.

The major Swiss newspaper Blick wrote that Szolos is conscious and his life is not in danger.

Swiss Remi Cuche was also taken out of the dreaded Die Streif track through the air. He appeared to break training due to a knee injury.

Remy Kochi was picked up by helicopter.

Remy Cucci is the nephew of former Alpine climber Didier Cucci. Blake wrote that Didier Couché suspects Remy Couchie has suffered cruciate ligament damage.

Two World Cup downhill competitions have been added to Kitzbühel. The first takes place on the Friday before Saturday's classic race on the Austrian hill. Slalom is on the program on Sunday.

Alexander Aamodt Kilde left his car in Wengen last weekend just before the finish line and suffered injuries that blighted the rest of the season. On Wednesday, Adrian Smiseth Sejersted was the only Norwegian to warm up, taking the 16th fastest time.
