Experienced climber Rob Brown, 33, died in an accident en route to Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. The mountain is 1,344 meters above sea level near the west coast of Scotland.

“On Friday, July 29, 2022, we lost Rob in a climbing accident on the north side of Ben Nevis,” his relatives wrote in a Facebook statement.

“It was a beautiful day and he looked forward to enjoying it in the mountains, as he always loved to do in his spare time. Anyone who knows Rob knows he is experienced, calm, confident and doesn’t take unnecessary risks. Friday was no exception. We left a great day out He was happy and satisfied with his life.”

The family would like to thank the members of the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, who pulled him off the mountain.
