The Portuguese international celebrated once again with a goal. Boavista was the “victim”.

Fabio Quintrao was decisive in the tie pulled by Rio Ave in the Boavista duel (3-3), as he drew in the last minute of compensation time and celebrated the goal after more than three years and four months and, interestingly, it happened at the same stage.

On December 9, 2017, Vila do Condense scored for Sporting at Estádio do Bessa, assisting the Lions to a 3–1 victory and in that match began a long fast regarding celebrations.

After leaving Alvalade and agreeing to withdraw from Real Madrid, Fábio Coentrão played in 23 games for Rio Ave in 2018/2019 and stopped playing the following season and even admitted he could end his career. This season, however, Caxinero decided to return to the lawns and to his Rio Ave and worked to restore his physical form, but an injury on his debut, like Varensee, prevented him from playing regularly and after that he was more than two months in recovery. He came back in January and used in seven matches, losing again in March, but came back strong with a goal.
