Family and friends bid farewell to Mariama Barbosa

Friends and family of Mariama Barbosa gathered on Saturday, July 30, to honor the presenter. Mariama Barbosa was 47 and passed away on Friday, July 29, after months of treatment for a gastric malignancy diagnosed earlier this year.

Awakening has been made in the Church of Santo Contesaville, in Campo de Ourique, Lisbon, where the funeral mass will take place on Sunday, followed by the cremation, in a celebration restricted to the family.

Mariama Barbosa worked as an assistant to costume designer Dino Alves, advised several public figures regarding her image and was the prop designer and face of ModaLisboa. Among other projects, she has also worked on PR for Showpress, written the book “Só é Feio Quem Quer” and was a commentator on “Passadeira Vermelha”.
