Eight schools have been selected that will bring together scholars and students in intense discussions and analyzes of advanced topics in various fields of research
FAPESP announces the results of the 18th call for proposals in the São Paulo School of Advanced Sciences (ESPCA) method, which provides resources for the organization of short-term courses in advanced research in different fields of knowledge in the state of São Paulo.
Advanced science schools in São Paulo provide means for disseminating information and ideas in a way that cannot be obtained through usual communication channels, such as scientific publications and presentations at scientific events.
In addition to contributing to the development of knowledge and training of participants, the sponsored events are expected to contribute to highlighting research, doctoral programs and post-doctoral training opportunities in the State of São Paulo, especially for candidates from other states and countries.
In selected schools, scholars with common professional interests will meet for periods of 10 to 14 days, fostering intensive discussions and analyzes of the most advanced aspects of their research areas. Initially, the call was to select up to five schools, but eight schools were approved due to the high quality of the proposals.
