Figure 01 is a humanoid robot developed in partnership with Open AI

In this video we see how Figure 01 can answer many questions that people ask. Questions that may include describing your surroundings or performing some task while answering another question.

The already released example reveals an impressive level of dexterity in Figure 01. He can understand his surroundings, plan what he will do with those items and perform these tasks efficiently.

Figure 01 can understand the type of items in front of you and their purpose. As he explains, he knew that the apple was the only edible item he had at the time.

This is possible thanks to the amazing language models provided by OpenAI. These are what provide high-level visual and linguistic intelligence to the humanoid robot.

Figure 01 can transport goods weighing up to 20 kg

Figure 01 is approximately 167 cm tall and weighs approximately 60 kg. It has great capabilities for carrying out tasks, as it can move with a weight of approximately 20 kg and move at a speed of 1.2 meters per second.

The company responsible for its development envisions a world where millions of humanoid robots will be able to help humans at work or at home. They may be responsible for tasks that we do not want to perform or to compensate for the lack of human resources.

Shape is not just a company that develops humanoid robots. It recently received a $675 million investment from companies like Microsoft, OpenAI Startup Fund, Nvidia, or Jeff Bezos.
