DeLorean will always have a prominent place in automotive history, in large part due to her unique car and participation in the Back to the Future trilogy. This one is quite recognizable as a symbol.

It was known that the American brand was considered a novelty, but still without much information. Teasers have appeared over time and now there is significant news. The DeLorean Alpha5 EV was introduced and showed off its all new style.

After many years of glory in the ’80s, DeLorean has finally disappeared into history. The DMC-12 was always visible in the hands of collectors, but the brand was eventually sold out.

There was no indication that DeLorean would ever return, but the past few months have shown something different. Rumors and information have shown that something new is on the way, with a high probability of being electric.

All of these scenarios are now formed and the DeLorean Alpha5 EV revealed to the world. There isn’t much information available yet, but what has been shown promises a lot for this new high-performance electric sports car.

As revealed by the brand, this new model retains two massive doors, which now have 4 seats. Designed again by Giorgietto Giugiaro, it keeps the same exterior lines, now betting on a minimalist interior.

It now has electric motors and the DeLorean Alpha 5 will have a range of nearly 500 km. It will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3 seconds and its top speed will be 240 km / h.

The new DeLorean Alpha 5 is expected to arrive in 2024, but it will be visible for the first time this August at the Pebble Beach Style Contest. It was also confirmed that production is currently limited to 88 units in the first release.
