The International Tennis Federation will not confirm Cabral’s opponent until 11:30 a.m. in Paris, at which point Rafael Nadal will decide whether he will play in the Olympic singles tournament. If Nadal withdraws, Cabral and another alternate will enter the draw for a spot on the board. If Nadal plays, the Portuguese will take de Minaur’s spot directly and face Jan-Lennard Struff in the first round. Francisco Cabral will make his Olympic debut at the age of 27.
