Google has launched its own artificial intelligence (AI) tool for creating images: ImageFX. The AI was developed using Imagen 2, a technology that will also leverage Google Bard's new AI imaging capabilities.
ImageFX is betting on “expression chips” to differentiate itself

Even after adding new AI image creation features to Google Bard, Google has decided to launch a standalone tool to create images from text prompts.
ImageFX reaches a market that already features several other production image AI platforms, such as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Copilot, DALL-E, Canva Pro AI, and others. To differentiate itself, the new technology features “expression chips.”
This means ImageFX will be able to more quickly explore other variations of a user-submitted original idea, choosing between realistic, hand-drawn, abstract, impressionistic and more styles.

Additionally, Imagen 2, which powers the new AI, is powered by the latest advances in text-to-image conversion from Google DeepMind through a diffusion-based model.
For transparency, all images generated contain SynthID, a digital watermark added directly to the image pixels, and IPTC metadata.
part of Google AI Test KitchenImageFX is available to users in the United States, Kenya, New Zealand, and Australia.
