Health Threat – Youth Mixes Hard Drugs With Soup, Stew – Police

Abuse of hard drugs including tramadol has been a major challenge on the country as most of the youth are found engaging in all forms of illegal drug intake posing danger to the health of the country's future leaders.

The Central Regional Police Commander, DCOP Paul Awini has revealed the secret ways adopted by many youth drug addicts in consuming hard drugs.

According to him, many drug addicts have chosen to mix hard drugs with soup and stew rather than the normal ways of taking them.

‘’The trend is changing and changing very fast. Now the ‘wee’ and cocaine are put in alcoholic beverages, soups and stews and are consumed in huge quantities by our youth,’’ he explained.

This proclamation comes at the time of tramadol abuse in the Ghanaian society is getting alarming.

Abuse of hard drugs including tramadol has been a major challenge on the country as most of the youth are found engaging in all forms of illegal drug intake posing danger to the health of the country’s future leaders.

However, security experts fear the increase in consumption of hard drugs will have an impact of sparking cases of armed robbery and even terrorist attacks in the country if care is not taken.
