Fuel prices will rise again next week, with experts expecting that both diesel and gasoline will record new heights, after falling for the first time this week, by about 15 and 12 cents, respectively, according to data from the General Directorate of Fuel. Energy and Geology (DGEG).

“If the week ends here, the price of diesel is supposed to rise by about 15 cents per liter on Monday, and the price of gasoline by 8 cents,” an industry source told Multinews. The latest fuel bulletin from the European Commission indicates that Portugal has the seventh most expensive gasoline 95 out of 27 EU countries, 10 cents above the European average and 22 cents more expensive than Spain. Diesel occupies ninth place in the European ranking.
