- Get to the right site
Visit the official Google website (or click here) via your browser;
- Click on the correct location
At the bottom of the page, find the menu menu and select the button labeled “Settings” and then “Search settings”;
- Find the desired section
Scroll down until you find the Custom Results option and select it;
- Disable personalization
Find the scroll button and click on it. When the color changes from blue to gray and the “-” sign appears, the function will be deactivated.
Although this tutorial helps a lot, you should be aware that Google’s autocomplete form is part of its overall search functionality. This means that no matter how much you disable the relevant search item, it is possible that one or another search suggestion will still be available to you, always based on your online habits and browsing history.
Another detail that can help you is to log out of the platform: once the action is performed, Google will have much less access to your data and search suggestions may also become less direct.
