Published on

Benfica B beat Vizela 1-0 at the Seixal stadium and moved to Third place in the second league.

Diogo Priest scored the only goal of the match in the 56th minute, then scored again after scoring in the previous round against Torreense.

With this result, the Eagles reach 6 points in the second division, one point ahead of Académico Viseu (who beat Porto B) and Penafiel, who drew 2-2 with Tondela. The Penafidelenses started the match strongly and after 7 minutes they were already 2-0 up, with goals from Ze Leite in the first minute and Batista. Tondela responded and before half an hour equalized with two precise shots from Pedro Maranha (16 m) and Thiago Manso (29 m).

The same result was recorded in Mafra v Portimonense, a game that saw only goals in the second half. Lucas Ventura put the Algarve side ahead in the 47th minute, but Yacouba Maiga equalised shortly afterwards. Crisu scored a somersault on the hour mark, but Paulo Vitor rescued a point for Portimonense in the 89th minute.

In Funchal, Marítimo drew 1-1 at home to Chaves. In a match between the promotion candidates, Martim Tavares gave the islanders the lead in the 57th minute, but Tras os Montes equalised thanks to an own goal by Rodrigo Borges.
