Vacina contra gripe/Influenza

In Jundiai, a date will be set for a flu vaccination campaign for the elderly

In an unprecedented decision, Jundiaí will organize a flu vaccination campaign for the elderly with an appointment to receive the dose. Consequently, seniors over the age of 60 must register for town hall digital channels. The schedule will be open on Wed (12), from 11 am.

The flu vaccine will be rolled out on May 15, Saturday, in Pre-Designated Primary Healthcare Units (UBSs) and across town. For the bedridden, UBS reference teams will schedule doses and apply them at home, starting Tuesday.

The decision to request a date, unlike in previous years, was made due to the need to contain clusters, mainly because it is a risk group from Covid19.

“Since the results have been effective with COVID-19, the system will be the same with the flu. The agendas will open for people to choose the best time and place to apply for D-Day. After that, other agendas will be opened to help residents,” explains the epidemiological surveillance nurse ( VE) Maria do Carmo Possidente.

On the D-day of immunization, defined as the fifteenth day, the following fixed stations will be present from 8 am to 5 pm:

  • UPS Novo Horizonte (Old Building);
  • Eloy Chaves Community Center;
  • Colonial Church Parish Hall;
  • UPS Tamoyu
  • UBS Esplanade;
  • Nova UPS Maringa;
  • UPS Rio Branco,
  • UPS Caxampo;
  • UPS Morada das Vinhas;
  • CEU of the Arts.

“The health teams have two large vaccination campaigns running simultaneously. For this reason, the adopted strategy aims to adjust the necessary deadlines for the masses of over 60 years to distribute doses and set priorities for vaccination against Covid19,” explains the Director of Primary Care of the Health Promotion Administration Unit (UGPS) Andrea Pinto de Souza.

It should be noted that at least 14 days must elapse between the application of doses of the vaccine against Covid19 and the flu.

Drive-thru

For those unable to attend the D-Day flu shot, May 17-21, the ‘Drive-Thu – Flu’ system will be offered at Parque da Uva from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 5 p.m. Evening to eight in the evening on Tuesday and Thursday. The service will also be scheduled, with the agenda opening weekly on digital channels for Jundiai City Hall.

Elderly people who do not have access to the Internet can request help at their referral center starting Monday (17).
