Dor Institute for Research and TeachingIdor) – a non-profit research organization that aims to promote scientific and technological progress in health care – has announced an agreement with Rapid To collaborate on new research initiatives. RapidAI is an angiography and vascular imaging company, implementing new solutions in clinical decision making and patient flow. The international partnership, through technological innovation, seeks to improve the care of patients recovering from COVID-19.
“RapidAI is pleased to be partnering with such an influential and innovative organization as IDOR,” said Carolina Mayer, Vice President of Clinical Affairs at RapidAI. “During a period of great uncertainty in the medical community around the world, our collaboration should lead to studies capable of providing new solutions to patient care.
The collaborative project will begin with a retrospective study to characterize the occurrence and pattern of neuronal changes related to SARS-CoV-2 infection at different stages of the disease, using imaging biomarkers. Using RapidAI technology to process patient examinations, the project aims to establish clinical and morphological correlates by understanding the impact of Covid-19 in the central nervous system (CNS), while taking into account long-term clinical, cognitive, and imaging changes.
