Isabel Ringnes, Elle Party | This is how Isabel Ringnes juggles her daily life

Published on

Founder, director, social debater and mother of two are just some of the roles played by Isabel Ringnes (35).

For several years, Ringnes has been a committed voice for sustainability and technology, in 2015 she founded the technology network TENK, and the company Equality Check in 2017.

The founder was also involved in the development of artificial intelligence and the ongoing war in Gaza. In other words, Ringness has several balls in the air, and she's also the mother of two young children.

The 35-year-old doesn't hide that everyday life is busy, and Ringnes shares with Nettavisen how she juggles it all.

– sTo appear miraculously

Although it's not easy to treat all days equally, Ringnes prefers to have a day with a lot going on.

Ringnes recently took up another position when she was elected to the board of directors of Eiendomsspar, of which her father Christian Ringnes (70) was managing director until recently.

In April, the 35-year-old became a mother for the second time, and she recently realized that there are not always enough hours in the day. Ringnes has been on staggered maternity leave, meaning she works a little bit here and there while actually being on leave.

But this is exactly what she likes:

– I enjoy having a diverse job, and I work very efficiently, says Ringnes to Nettavisen during this year's Elle party.

When asked how she finds time for all this, Ringnes makes no secret of the fact that she often doesn't know how.

-I do a lot, but miraculously, I manage to continue my daily life.

– But I will not say that the matter is not hectic, adds the businessman.

He is thinking about returning to the journalism profession

As if Ringnes didn't have enough to do, she was also thinking of doing more work.

Ringnes previously worked as a journalist for VG, covering, among other things, the July 22 horror when she was a summer understudy in 2011.

When she had a conversation with journalist Nettavisen this week, she recalled her time as a journalist. She remembers it as a tiring but incredibly rewarding job.

Although the businesswoman has done a lot of other things since her time as a journalist, including earning a master's degree in media management and starting companies, she often misses her career.

-It's an incredibly good profession and it's very exciting to be allowed to learn about different things at work. You have to throw yourself in and there is a lot of adrenaline. “You have to know a lot about something to be able to ask the right questions,” she says.

So taking on some journalistic duties is not entirely out of the question for Ringnes in the future.

-It would have been so cool.
