launcher. More than 1,360 horsepower for the first electric Lamborghini

After the images have been leaked, official presentation: this is the Lamborghini Lanzador, the first 100% electric car of the Italian brand.

Now it’s official. After leaking images revealing the Lanzador early on, Lamborghini has finally presented its first 100% electric car, during the Monterey Car Week, in California (USA).

It is about a Crossing Three-door with the capacity to carry up to four passengers (2 + 2), which presents itself with an image that, although unprecedented (inside a Lamborghini), has familiar lines.

That’s because Lanzador—Lamborghini calls it a “Super GT”—seems to cross the lines of the Urus SUV with those of the Huracán Sterrato, a “rollaway pants” version of the Italian super sports car, which we recently tested:

But this Lamborghini Lanzador model – painted in color Azzurro Abyssal —the one most reminiscent of is, oddly enough, the Estoque, a prototype launched nearly 15 years ago that anticipated a four-door sedan that was never built.

However, it is important to remember that the production version of Lanzador will only be released to the market in 2028, so this prototype may still undergo changes in the next five years.

Aviation inspired cabin

And if this applies to the exterior, it can also be applied to the passenger cabin, which is characterized by its bold design and which seems to have been inspired by the world of aviation.

The driver and passenger, for example, are separated by a sort of bridge with stylized lines connecting the upper part of the dashboard to a console between the seats. The seats themselves are slim and reveal an expected sporty design.

All passengers are entitled to a screen, even those sitting in the back – curiously, there is no central screen.

The rear seats themselves are foldable, and as we can see, the trunk seems to be large. Access is facilitated by the presence of a third door, not a cover.

In addition, there is a second, smaller luggage compartment at the front – typical on many trams. This reveals a collection of bags designed to fit perfectly into that space.

More than 1000 kilowatts of power

As we have already said, Lanzador expects the first 100% electric model of the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand. And as you’d expect (or if we’re not talking about a Lamborghini), it comes with a pretty cool business card.

The Italian brand was very careful with the numbers it revealed, after all – as mentioned above – the production version is still 5 years away, but it did announce that Lanzador is powered by two electric motors (one per axle) at a combined output of more than 1000 kW (more from 1360 hp) of maximum power.

In addition, we know that this «Super GT» has active aerodynamic elements, with air suspension, electronically controlled shock absorbers and four steering wheels.

Will it change by 2028?

As already mentioned in this article, the production version of this Lanzador prototype will only be presented to the world in five years, in the year 2028, with the commercial launch occurring shortly after.

It remains only to find out what aesthetic changes Lanzador may undergo during this time. But tradition tells us that the brand from Sant’Agata Bolognese is not used to making drastic changes between prototypes and production versions: just look at the example of the Urus.
