Comic Con Portugal was supposed to take place last September in Passeio Marítimo de Algés, Oeiras, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as it was rescheduled to a new venue, in Parque das Nações.

Comic Con Portugal was first organized in 2013, at Exponor, in Matosinhos, Porto region, where the first four editions were held.

In 2020, instead of a physical version, the organization decided to hold a free “online” event in September on the official page, with presentations of films, books, comic book content, video games and “cosplay”.

And the last physical copy after that was in 2019, with several spaces and stages for the dissemination of content related to entertainment, cinema, television, comedy and video games, and the attendance of about 140,000 visitors.
