Check out this week’s schedule
Although the index of building infection recorded in the recent Rapid Indicators of Aedes aegypti (LIRAa) rapid survey is considered satisfactory, surveillance for prevention of diseases transmitted by this vector, particularly dengue, Zika and chikungunya, should be consistent. The city council has stepped up anti-mosquito measures with smoke spray.
The Special Coordinating Body for Environmental Health Surveillance (Cevas), an agency of the Ministry of Health, will chemically block the insect, on Monday (6), at 5 a.m., in the Gloria neighborhood, and at 6 p.m., in Lagomar. Tuesday (7), at 5 a.m., in Alto dos Cajueiros and Valentina Miranda Park, and at 6 p.m. again in Lagomar. On Wednesday (8), at 5 a.m., the Riviera Fluminense will be presented. It’s 18:00, Lagomar.
On Thursday (9), smoke will pass, at 5 in the morning, past Praia do Pecado, and at 6 p.m., by Lagomar. On Friday (10), at 5 am, the Jardim neighborhood of Santo Antonio, and at 6 pm, the neighborhood of Impetipa. As the smokey car passes, residents must open the doors and windows of the houses, cover cages, aquariums, and food. In case of rain and strong wind, the schedule will be changed.
