Zidan Iqbal, a 20-year-old Iraqi midfielder, announced his departure from Manchester United on Thursday with a lengthy message on social media.
“We can’t always express in words the feelings I feel. Manchester United has been my home since I was five years old. Together with my family, this club has helped me be the person I am today. Since Cliff from Carrington to Teatro “Dos Sonhos (OT), I have so many great memories of the 15 years I spent here at this club. I will love this club forever. Now is the time to leave and take on a new challenge. It’s the perfect opportunity for me and I can’t wait to get started.”
As it all indicates, Zidane will boost the turnout of Dutch club Utrecht in a deal that will give Manchester United €1 million in funds.
