What is a full moon?
Apart from the Sun, the Moon is the clearest celestial body visible from Earth. It orbits the Earth at a distance of about 384,000 kilometers, sometimes slightly closer to the blue planet, and sometimes it is farther away. Thus, the full moon rises on the horizon as the sun sets on the other side.
