MC Sonae gives 500 euros to 38,000 employees to “relieve high pressure on living costs”

MC Sonae announced on Tuesday, through a statement, that on December 7 it granted an exceptional Christmas grant worth 500 euros to 38,000 employees.

“Facing a particularly challenging economic and social context, the company believes that this gesture will alleviate the high pressure it feels on its people’s costs of living,” Sonai explains.

This initiative joins a series of other commitments that this economic group has developed in recent years through programs such as “Somos Sonae”, which intervenes and supports Sonae employees in situations of economic or social vulnerability.

This program provides support in various aspects, from essential goods, services and products, legal support, renegotiation of debts and credits, support in the health field (mental health and oral health), among others. Somos Sonae also has areas dedicated to financial literacy, mental health, and supporting victims of domestic violence, the group explains.
