After qualifying and without containing his excitement, Mimikat spoke to an RTP reporter who’s been following the festival in Liverpool.
In addition to the Portuguese song, also themes Croatia, Moldova, Switzerland, Finland, the Czech Republic, Israel, Portugal, Sweden, Serbia and Norway passed the Grand Final, which will be held next Saturday, May 13.
Abroad were Malta, Latvia, Ireland, Azerbaijan and the Netherlands.
Prior to the final, a second semi-final will be held on Thursday to determine the final ten finalists. The so-called “Big Five” (France, Germany, Italy, UK and Italy) are automatically qualified, as well as the host country, which is supposed to be Ukraine this year, having won last year’s edition.
Instead, this year’s Eurovision Song Contest is being held in Liverpool, UK, the country that finished second in the 2022 edition.
The Eurovision Final will be broadcast on RTP1 next Saturday from 20:00.
