Here's another step toward the launch of Frostpunk 2. 11 Bit Studios recently released a new trailer for the game that shows off more gameplay. Come watch it with us.
Frostpunk 2, the sequel to the wonderful strategy and survival game we had the pleasure of experiencing here, is on track for its release.
After revealing the first teaser in November last year, 11 Bit Studios has now revealed a new, more complete video about the game and its gameplay.
This new video shows in a very interesting way how Frostpunk 2 will be presented to us when it hits the market sometime this year (for PC and, as expected, for consoles).
Anyone who played the original title knows that Frostpunk 2 brings back strategy, survival, and city management gameplay mixed with strategic gameplay and emotional, emergent narrative.
Under the motto "The city must not fall", players will accept the task of managing the city (they will be the administrators), its needs, and also... its problems.
After surviving the icy cold (from the first Frostpunk game), the city now faces new and more complex challenges and everyone's survival depends on making the right decisions. The player will face many situations and dilemmas (many of them very emotional) that he will have to deal with, at the same time as he will have to maintain the support of the population.
The city is growing and the needs of the population are increasing. However, the needs of different social classes of the population differ, raising obvious questions about how to use the few resources the city has. Managing these problems (and many others) will be key to everyone's survival.
Frostpunk 2 will be released in 2024 for PC (and perhaps also for consoles later), with no specific release date yet.
