MotoGP, Vinales finishes in front, Marc Marquez impresses

Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) was the fastest rider in the Valencia MotoGP test session. The Spaniard set his best lap of 1:29.253 minutes, beating Brad Binder (KTM) by 28 thousandths, with Marco Betschischi (VR46) third by 93 thousandths.

In the session that simultaneously marks the end of this season and the beginning of preparations for the next, it was the Aprilia rider who took first place, who was already in first place at the end of the first half of the session, having always been in the top positions. It took Binder and Bezzecchi a few more moments to climb into the top positions, with the South African taking a fall in the final moments.

Furthermore, Marc Marquez was one of the highlights of this testing day, with the Spaniard, as expected, receiving a lot of attention after leaving Honda for Gresini. In addition, the Spaniard was also always quick, leading the session and finishing the race in fourth place, 171 thousandths off the fastest time.

Raul Fernandez finished fifth and, like Miguel Oliveira, is waiting to see the name of the team he will race with next season, since CryptoData RNF no longer has a licence. Alex Marquez joined his brother and teammate in the top ten, in sixth, while Fabio Di Giannantonio made his VR46 debut with seventh, ahead of Enea Bastianini, Jack Miller and Luca Marini, who also made their debuts for Honda.

In a session in which world champion Francesco Bagnaia was classified 11th, 717 thousand behind Viñales, there is also a note of riders who changed teams, with Franco Morbidelli (Pramac) 16th, Johann Zarco (LCR) 17th, 18th for the rookie Pedro. Acosta (GASGAS) and 19th place by Alex Rins (Yamaha).
