“My mother got into bad drug ways…”

The Big Brother 2022 party on Sunday, September 18, was marked by sharing the first “Curva da Vida” of this edition with Diogo Marques who revealed the most amazing moments of his life so far.

“I was born with absent parents, and my grandmother always accompanied me. I was born with a health problem, this was the first case of a baby in Portugal being born with a dead intestine. I lived in the hospital until I was 5/6 years old‘, reporting the competitor from Porto.

Diogo Marquez then recounted the circumstances behind his growth: “My father was always absent because of his profession, the relationship with my mother was shaken up and they ended up breaking up. In the process, it appeared. When I was born, my brother stayed with his father. At this point, my mother got into the bad drug ways. Because of the drugs, I’ve seen things that no kid should see. That’s when I somehow clung to my grandmother, my grandmother was a mom, dad, and boyfriend, and that was it. You treated me like a son“.

The exciting life curve of the rider addressed the passing of his grandmother: “I came home from a football game and fell. With distress, I went to call my friends to help her sleep, I called 112. I remember it was yesterday when I explained what had happened. I broke my pelvis when I fell, became bedridden and left after a few months. I was completely helpless, my dad knew what happened and no one came to the front to help me and give me a roof.“.

Diogo Marquez tearfully revealed other details of living with his mother that proved crucial: “I started doing drugs at home and stole from me some of the money I earned. When I lost my love for her, I felt that my grandmother was the most important person in my life.“.
