Nine cases of influenza A H3N2 virus confirmed in Bahia

To ensure that beneficiaries of the Auxílio Brasil (formerly Bolsa Família) program can carry out the monitoring required by the Federal Government, the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS) will implement on Saturday (11), from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., jointly the last aid service effort . Due to the health teams mobilizing the joint effort, vaccination against Covid-19 will be suspended in the city.

Children under the age of seven, women of childbearing age (14 to 44), and pregnant women of any age must attend one of the 61 positions available for the strategy, in 12 city health districts, from 8 a.m., and no appointment is necessary. Beneficiaries must carry a Bolsa Família card with a Social Identification Number (NIS), a baby vaccination booklet and an antenatal booklet for the pregnant woman.

In Salvador, of the more than 233.4 thousand people who must undergo the mandatory follow-up of Auxílio Brasil, only 31,500 attended the participations. The deadline for implementing the procedure is December 31 next. SMS has already been implemented a joint effort for service.

According to Kênya Lima, an SMS technician, the strategy aims to check whether families assisted by the program have access to health services, as mandated by the federal government. Those who do not meet this requirement may have their interest banned in 2022.

“To maintain the usefulness of Auxílio Brasil, it is necessary to assess the nutritional status of women and children, as well as to vaccinate children and for pregnant women on antenatal care. Since the beginning of the year, all primary health centers in the city have been monitoring the health status. The collective effort on Saturday is another opportunity to access service and avoid potential inconveniences by leaving her until the last minute.”
