“Not One More”: MP Milczanowska office front cards and candles. Protest following the death of a 30-year-old girl in Radomsko

It is a protest against the anti-abortion law and the death of a 30-year-old pregnant woman. The doctors decided not to perform the abortion, but waited until the fetus died

“A year ago, when a symbolic candle was lit, we firmly believed that it would only become a symbol and that this repressive force would retreat from the barbaric law that turns women into archives. One year later, we burn the candle in memory of the first victim of this criminal law. Today you Where are you, pro life? Where is everyone’s conscience responsible for that?

The protest took place in the seat of the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw today after the woman’s death. “Nither One More” is the reaction to the death of a 30-year-old woman who was admitted to hospital in the 22nd week of pregnancy. Despite her health enough to have an abortion, the doctors did not decide to do it. Both mother and baby died.

Attorney Jolanda Butsovska, the lawyer for the deceased’s husband, daughter, siblings and mother, released a statement today on the situation:

“Due to misinformation in the media, the family of the deceased confirms that on September 22, 2021, a thirty-year-old woman who was 22 weeks pregnant died at the County Hospital in Pszczyna.

A pregnant woman came to the hospital with a possible pregnancy due to leakage of amniotic fluid. At admission, dehydration was diagnosed and previously diagnosed birth defects were confirmed. When admitted to the hospital, the fetus died. The patient also died within 24 hours at the hospital. The cause of death was septic shock. The deceased left her husband and daughter.

During the messages he sent to his family and friends during his stay, according to the information given to him by the doctors, they maintained a waiting and watching attitude, avoiding emptying the uterine cavity until the fetus died, which is relevant. With applicable terms governing the possibility of legal abortion.

Currently, the so-called medical error, as a result of the family reporting the possibility of committing a crime, the case is being handled by the Regional Attorney’s Office in Katowice.

The correctness of the treatment services provided to the deceased will be evaluated by the concerned authorities.

For the sake of investigation, the family will not provide further details about the case and will be asked to respect their privacy and grief status. “
