NXT destroys Dynamite in the “War” ratings

Published on

Since it was announced that there would be a head-to-head match this week between NXT and Dynamite, there has been great anticipation to see who would win a repeat of the “ratings war” between the two programs.

The big winner ended up being NXT, who “destroyed” the Dynamite title on Tuesday with the advantage of over 300,000 viewers.

Tuesday’s NXT, which featured several top stars such as John Cena, Cody Rhodes and Undertaker, recorded an audience of 921,000 viewers, well above the 857,000 viewers garnered the previous week.

a Brand WWE’s developmental program posted one of its best numbers in recent years and reached nearly one million viewers.

Tuesday’s Dynamite show, which was a Tuesday title special and featured Adam Copeland’s in-ring debut, recorded an audience of 609,000 viewers, significantly lower than the 800,000 viewers received the previous week.

However, with the occasional change of day, AEW’s main program was well short of the one million viewer mark.

Did this result predict the ratings “war” between NXT and Dynamite?
