OFFICIAL: On his way to Gil Vicente, Tosé leaves Marco Tondela

On Wednesday, Tondela officially announced the departure of Tozi Marco, who will become the next coach of Gil Vicente, just like the team. More football developed in a timely manner.

In a statement, the “Pirao” slogan bid farewell to the 36-year-old coach, who is leaving the club after almost two seasons. Tozet leaves Marchico Tondela in fifth place in the second division with 45 points, ten points away from qualifying for the promotion qualifiers. The former striker also had spells at Oliveira Do Hospital and in the youth ranks at Académica. Gil Vicente has not won in six bouts and has lost the last three. Gelistas occupies 13th place in the league with 28 points, just two points behind Portimonense, which is 16th in the play-off. The Roosters team is still seven points ahead of Vizela, which is in first place in the relegation zone (17).

Later, Tondela reported that Sergio Gamenha was Toze Marcheko's successor.

The 43-year-old returns to the home he knows so well, having represented our club in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons as assistant coach.

I must say this season, Gammenha directed Oliveira Do Hospital until October.
