Over 644,000 account statements have been reconciled and 331 million account statements – O Jornal Económico

The Tax and Customs Service (AT) processed 396,853 Tax Authority recoveries for € 331 million, according to the Finance Ministry’s latest balance sheet for the Tax Authority handover campaign, which began on April 1.

According to the same data, the number of cleared statements reached 644,554, which resulted in the payment of 396,853 and 57,428 in collection bonds, with a value of 23 million euros. Based on these values, the average payout is currently around € 834.

Among the IRS announcements already handled, there are also 190,273 vacuums, a situation that occurs when there is no place to pay or pay taxes.

Delivery frequency indicates that, to date, taxpayers have already submitted 2,584,411 ads through the funding portal, of which 1,041,516 (40%) correspond to automatic IRS returns.

Of this total, about 2 million people had income only in 2020 from dependent work and / or pensions and who, when the IRS handover was still phased in, were included in the so-called Phase I, which started earlier. From the second stage.

The deadline for submitting the annual income statement in 2020 started on April 1 and ends on June 30. About 3.5 million households can benefit from the automatic IRS system, making delivery simpler and faster.

According to the deadlines stipulated by law, the IRS must be liquidated by July 31, with the tax paid or returned (via refund) by August 31.
