Pepita says she was a victim of transphobia from security and says: ‘I just know how to cry’

SAO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) – Singer and influencer Pepita said she was a victim of transphobia on Friday night (9) in the southern region of São Paulo. According to her report, she had an argument with a security guard working on the street where she lives with her husband, Kaiqui Nogueira, and their two-year-old son, Luca.

Pepita said it all started when Kaikeyi asked the man in question to do the couple a favor by taking care of the delivery while they were returning home. The man reportedly replied rudely via message. When the artist called him to understand what happened, he hung up on her.

Then, as she was driving near the security guard’s location, she decided to talk to him, who was asleep at the time. Disturbed by this approach, he began to treat Pepita as masculine, even calling her a “friend.” When she asked him to address her as feminine, she was ignored.

The singer said in a video clip posted on social media: “Imagine if my son was not in the car, if I was driving the car alone.” “I think I’d lose to a first-time offender, for sure.”

She continued with the report: “When he tried to force me, he even called another security guard, who tried to say, as justification, that people are still learning these things.”

Pepita says she called the police and waited at home until the police car arrived. “We take a lot of beatings, and there comes a time when we don’t need to cry or scream or despair, nothing like that,” he said. “We just really need help, you know?” “We’re really tired of this, of having to keep proving ourselves, proving that I’m her. I’m really, really tired.”

She then registered the police’s arrival and wrote on social media: “I’m going to the end!” She also commented that she was looking for a lawyer to represent her in the case, and said at the end of the night: “My nerves are shaking, and now I am lying down and I only know how to cry.” “When we think we are strong and things are getting better, we see that there is still a long way to go. Why, God?”
