On Tuesday (10), Petrópolis received a new batch of 7,200 doses of vaccines from Pfizer and CoronaVac against covid-19. Immunization agents will be used, according to the municipal health department, to continue vaccinating people aged 30 years and apply the second dose, as the campaign progresses in the municipality. In addition to vaccination by age for the general public, the city continues to apply the vaccine to the public who are listed in the National Immunization Plan (PNI) as priorities and who, for some reason, have not yet taken the vaccine.

The new vaccinations were delivered by the State Department of Health (SES). There are 2.4 thousand doses of CoronaVac for the first and second application and 5200 doses of Pfizer for the first application. On Wednesday morning (11), registration was opened for people aged 31 or over, without comorbidities, on the City Hall website (www.petropolis.rj.gov.br). According to Health, 2,800 vacancies were filled in just over two hours. This audience will start vaccinating from Thursday (12).

This Thursday, the schedule will be open for those aged 30 and starting to apply fortification factors from Friday (13). The municipality expects that all adult residents of the city will be vaccinated with the first dose by the end of August.

Currently, in addition to people over 32 years of age who do not have comorbidities, pregnant women, postpartum and lactating women (mothers of children up to 12 months old) with or without comorbidities over 18 years of age are vaccinated; Professionals in mass road transport, CPTrans registered school transport drivers and truck drivers (C or E driving licenses) – over 18 years old; Specialists in early childhood education, primary education, secondary education, higher education and vocational education; health workers over 18 years of age; Persons with comorbidities and persons with disabilities over 18 years of age; people with Down syndrome over 18 years of age; Autistic people over the age of 18; and seniors over the age of 60 (those who have lost their previous call).
