President Andrzej Duda vets lex TVN. Can the independent media sleep peacefully in Poland?

A Christmas present, albeit a little late: President Andrzej Duda vexed Lex TVN. To reject the veto means that the law has collapsed because the PiS will not get a one-fifth majority vote in the Sejm.

The independence of TVN is now protected. However, this is not evidence of the president’s independence, but rather a controversy within the ruling coalition or the PiS. Similar to the “zibra” reform of the judiciary, it still hangs over us, but cannot fall. Perhaps the dispute over Lex TVN was resolved by Jaroslav Kaczynski, who ordered it executed and executed as soon as possible.

It was therefore not decided to consider media freedom. They can not sleep well.
